We are partnering with a multinational chemical manufacturing business undertaking a major SAP S/4HANA rollout across multiple European sites.
The program will introduce a new digital core centered on Clean Core principles, Embedded Warehouse Systems, and modern logistics integration.
As an SAP Functional Consultant, you’ll play a hands-on role in designing, configuring, and implementing solutions within your area of expertise. Whether in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Transportation Management (TM), or Logistics Execution (LE) — as part of a global S/4HANA transformation team.
You will collaborate closely with the Solution Architect, business process owners, and technical teams to ensure a fit-for-purpose design that delivers measurable operational improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end functional design and configuration in S/4HANA within EWM, TM, or Logistics Execution.
- Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, capturing and validating business requirements.
- Support integration between S/4HANA and connected systems (MES, WMS, TMS, or third-party logistics platforms).
- Define and document functional specifications, test cases, and training materials.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement enhancements and interfaces in line with Clean Core principles.
- Support data migration, testing, and go-live activities.
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to ensure consistent process and data alignment across regions.
- Provide post-go-live support, stabilization, and continuous improvement input.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of SAP experience with at least 2 full S/4HANA implementations in logistics, EWM, or TM.
- Deep functional understanding of one or more of the following:
- Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) – inbound/outbound processing, storage control, warehouse order creation, HU management.
- Transportation Management (TM) – freight order creation, planning, charge calculation, integration with EWM and SD.
- Logistics Execution (LE) – shipping, delivery processing, and goods movement integration.
- Solid grasp of Clean Core and extensibility principles.
- Experience working on global template or multi-country rollout projects.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, process, or chemical industry environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Embedded EWM (as opposed to decentralzied setups.)
- Knowledge of Advanced Shipping & Receiving (ASR) in S/4HANA.
- Integration experience with SAP BTP, CPI, or third-party logistics tools.
- Understanding of batch management, handling units, and hazardous materials processes.
- SAP Activate Methodology or S/4HANA certification (preferred but not essential).
