We are partnering with a global leader in chemical manufacturing embarking on a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation spanning multiple European sites.
The first rollout will take place in the United Kingdom, followed by deployments in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
As the SAP Solution Architect, you will take ownership of the end-to-end solution design, ensuring all aspects of the program adhere to Clean Core principles, are scalable, and enable true digital transformation across logistics and supply chain operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead the overall solution architecture and design governance for the S/4HANA landscape.
- Define and enforce Clean Core architecture principles and extensibility strategy.
- Oversee integration between SAP S/4HANA, Embedded EWM, Transportation Management (TM), and other connected systems (MES, WMS, TMS).
- Partner with functional leads and business process owners to ensure alignment between global design and local business requirements.
- Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, design reviews, and architecture boards.
- Provide expert guidance on integration architecture, data migration, and master data governance.
- Collaborate closely with offshore teams, System Integrators, and business stakeholders.
- Act as the design authority for logistics and supply chain streams — ensuring consistency, scalability, and business value delivery.
- Support solution assurance, documentation, and sign-off processes through the full delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
- 12–18 years of overall SAP experience, including 5+ years with S/4HANA.
- Proven experience delivering at least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementations as a Solution Architect or Design Authority.
- Deep cross-functional knowledge across EWM, Transportation Management, MM, PP, and Finance.
- Strong understanding of Clean Core concepts, SAP BTP, and side-by-side extensibility.
- Demonstrated experience integrating Embedded EWM and Transportation Management within S/4HANA.
- Exposure to global template and multi-country rollout programs.
- Experience with regulated industries (chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in complex, multicultural program environments.
Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- SAP Certified Technology or Application Architect (S/4HANA).
- Understanding of SAP Fiori / UI5, BTP extensions, and API-based integrations.
- Experience with Advanced Shipping & Receiving (ASR) in S/4HANA.
